Why should I join the Chamber?
Why wouldn't you join? There are dozens of benefits & services for chamber members. You probably won't need them all, so you would just pick and choose what might help you and your business. Besides that, you may not know what the Chamber could do for you unless you are receiving their mailings and notices.
How much does it cost to join?
There are base dues for different size businesses, based on their number of employees. Larger companies pay more because they have more employees. If you are a small company with fewer than 11 employees, your dues may be less than $20 a month, billed to you annually, and considered a business expense writeoff. Retired individuals and non-profit organizations have even lower dues assessments. You can't beat that for having your own business consultants and the best business resources in the county!
If I don't have a lot of time to participate, will it still benefit me to join?
Not being involved will not stop you from reaping the savings and benefits from the Chamber's endorsed programs. Besides, one of these days you might have some time to attend a function or two....... in the meantime, those that can get involved do, those that can't are still treated like valuable members.
Will membership take time away from my business and family?
Not if we can help it! Very rarely do we schedule during the evening .....you could count them on your one hand, and no weekend activities either. We rotate meetings during the workweek in the early mornings before starting work, at lunchtime because we know most will probably grab lunch anyway, and even our Business After Hours are on your way home and short and sweet. The Chamber scheduling is VERY sensitive to your time at work or with your family.
Isn't the Chamber for Big Businesses only?
Couldn't be further from the truth. Over 80% of our members are small businesses, many of them with fewer that a dozen employees. If you take a look at our programs you will see that most of them are targeted to the small.....small business. There is a good mix of retail, service, professional, industrial, and non-profits in the membership. That diversity has always made us a user friendly chamber for all sizes of businesses.
