Retention & Expansion
Mike Welsh/Harry Eadon
This committee offers assistance with business problems, encourages local expansion and collects data on local industry through visits or surveys. This committee is currently conducting CRTS (Consumer, Retail, Tourism, Service) surveys to better understand the contribution of the individual companies, identify company and community problems, monitor trends, and document consumer demographics in the region.
Legislative Committee
Bill Harding
The committee, through issue managers, studies and monitors legislative issues at the federal, state, and local levels that impact business. They provide legislative information to members and sponsor legislative programs that provide insight on business concerns. In 2007 guidelines were passed in order for the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce to become an active participant in the legislative activities within Tuscarawas County. In 2007 we endorsed the Tuscarawas County Permissive Sales Tax renewal and we also endorsed Dover City Schools and New Philadelphia City Schools with their efforts toward renewals of the operating levies.
Business/Education
Business and education leaders serve as the program developers to enhance and promote the understanding of the importance of business and education partnerships. This committee is under construction and in need of volunteers. In 2008 the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is supporting and endorsing Project Lead the Way.
Membership Ambassadors Committee "MAC"

A combined committee that will develop programs, recruit and retain members, assist with event planning and attend events as ambassadors representing the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce.
Communications Committee
Jac Clay
The committee coordinates and composes campaigns to highlight the image of the chamber.
Agri-Council

Traditionally, the agri-business breakfast at the county fair is organized by this committee, plus any other agri-business informational events as needed. Committee volunteers are always needed. Tuscarawas Valley Safety Council

This committee offers monthly meetings with safety related topics to the membership of the Tuscarawas Valley Safety Council. The members of this committee submit semi-annual reports to BWC Division of Safety and Hygiene reporting any lost time injuries in the workplace. Awards are given annually for improvements to the participating companies. This committee encompasses all of Tuscarawas County and a portion of Holmes County as well. The Tuscarawas Valley Safety Council now has a Steering Committee to assist in the development of events and programs for the Safety Council.
Special Events
Special events includes the annual summer golf outing, business after hours, business before hours, the Tuscarawas Valley Business Connection and any other event that is planned during the course of the year.
